Jingyuan CHEN The PLA General Hospital

CHEN Jingyuan, Major General, ATS Fellow (Academy of Toxicological Sciences, USA), a senior professor on toxicology and environmental medicine, currently serves as the Director General of the Medical Service Directorate, Logistics Support Department, Central Military Commission, China. He completed his M.D. study on Clinical Medicine, M.S. on Environmental Health and Ph.D on Physiology successively in PLA’s military medical universities. He further pursued postdoctoral study on neurotoxicology in the School of Public Health, Columbia University, USA, from 2000 to 2002.

Over the years, Dr. CHEN Jingyuan has served as Associate Professor, Professor and Director in the Department of Occupational & Environmental Health, Fourth Military Medical University (FMMU), PLA. He later served the position of Dean of School of Public Health, FMMU and was appointed as Provost of FMMU from 2012-2015 and Head of Department of Medical Administration in the PLA General Hospital from 2015 to August 2017. As a senior researcher on toxicology and environmental medicine, Dr. CHEN has extensive research experiences, with main studies focused on heavy metals induced neurotoxicity mechanism and related protection, and hypoxia and cold induced injury mechanism and preventive measures. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers in the last 20 years. He has been awarded withthe Title ofNationalOutstandingScientist and has won many high profile prizes such asNationalScience& TechnologyProgress Award andMilitary Science& TechnologyProgress Award.Dr. CHEN was elected as Executive Council inInternational Neurotoxicology Association between 2009 and 2011. He now serves as Member of International Committee of Military Medicine,theVice President ofChinese Society of Toxicology, Chairman ofSpecialty Committee of Neurotoxicology, Executive Council Member ofChinese Society of Toxicology, CouncilMember ofChinese Preventive Medicine Association andCommitteeMember of PLAScience and Technology Committee.
